In the puzzle of life, two important blocks are youth and maturity but the piece that completes it is old age. Old age has its pleasures, which though different, are not less than the pleasures of youth. This is something which was realized on our visit to an old age home. There we found aged people who were abandoned and deserted by their families. The people were very hospitable and friendly, and they welcomed us with their beautiful smiles. To break the monotony of their lives, we entertained them by preparing some shows. Firstly, we presented them with a prayer song. Secondly, few students delivered speeches on old age homes, people residing there and their importance, etc. A group of students entertained them through their drama. Some students also expressed the feelings of aged people through mime with their heart-felt actions. Later, we danced with them and they too seemed to enjoy it. We were able to make out that they were very happy to have us there. The people were overwhelmed as we served them food and said that all had come with a lot of preparation, enthusiasm and with good intentions. Though we spent only a few hours with them, they made us realize the value of our grandparents and the tenderness with which we need to take care of them. We realized that love for our family, particularly the grandparents needs to be stronger and deeper.
