Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate the love of god and family, to create memories that will last forever. Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.
Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, we too, at Vatsalya International School, Khambhat, celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children. The whole program was the story about 'The Birth of Jesus’. Our little children of pre-primary and primary for an hour culminated with Santa making a grand entry in the school and filled the entire crowd with joy. Along with the other teachers, he danced with great enthusiasm. The delight of the kids spilled over.
The principal, Mr. Vijay Aher, spoke about the significance of Christmas and appreciated the performance of the little children who had so confidently performed in front of the whole school.

To revive the lost art of letter writing, the school conducted a practical letter writing activity in English, Hindi and Gujarati for students of classes (Sr. Kg. - XI). The activity began with an interesting entry of the postman handing out letters to teachers followed by an explanation of the informal letter writing in the assembly. Students then wrote letters to their parents describing important events held at school. Students of class Sr. Kg. - IV expressed their letter writing skills on postcard, classes V-VII wrote on inland letter while classes VIII-XI were assigned stamped envelopes. At the end of the day, students posted their letters in the post box that was specially set up at the school entrance, for the activity. The hands on activity helped students experience the joy and the power of hand written letter in today’s hyper connected world.

Worship & prayers are important part of the schooling , as it gives us the oppertunity to come together as a school community to think more deeply about almighty.
Students of Pre primary sesction (Nur, Jr.KG and Sr.KG) had the oppertunity to visit places of worship Church and Mosque on 30th NOV, 2017.
The importance and significance of the places of worship in a community gives wider canvas to think.
