“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Beginnings are always exciting, full of promise and opportunities. As we embarked on the new academic year, orientation programs were organised for KG-1 and KG-2 parents. The orientation briefed the parents about the rules and regulations, showcased curriculum highlights, and provided important reminders to ensure a smooth transition. The Kindergarten-1 presentation was held on April 24, 2026, where the team coordinator and teachers shared valuable insights on how parents can play an active role in their child’s learning. The Q & A session that followed helped address the doubts and concerns of the parents. An in-house orientation for the Kindergarten-1 parents was also conducted on 25th April, 2026, by the class teachers, who provided a quick sneak peek into the child’s day at school. On 27th April, 2026, the class teachers held an in-house parent orientation session for Kindergarten-2 parents in their respective classrooms to give parents insights into the concepts to be taught in Senior Kindergarten. The session also included suggestions on improving reading and writing skills and strategies for effective learning. Fun-filled activities were organized for the parents to promote parental involvement. The orientation programs marked a wonderful beginning to a academic year, and we were truly delighted to receive positive feedback from the parents for the orientation presentation.

At our school, this year we joyfully celebrated both Earth Day and Green Day together on 22nd April as a special merged event for our Pre-Primary section. The celebration was designed to help our little learners understand the importance of nature, environment, and caring for our planet in a fun and engaging way. We began by introducing the idea of Earth Day, a global celebration dedicated to protecting our planet. The children learned simple concepts like saving water, planting trees, and keeping surroundings clean. Through colourful posters and interactive discussions, they understood that even small actions can make a big difference. The tiny tots participated enthusiastically in activities like: planting saplings in small pots, Earth-themed craft activities, singing rhymes about nature, learning slogans like “Save Earth, Save Future”. The entire Pre-Primary section was beautifully decorated in different shades of green, symbolizing nature and freshness. Children and teachers came dressed in green outfits, adding charm to the celebration. As part of the celebration, the Nursery students brought potted plants from their homes. These plants were arranged in the assembly quadrangle in attractive pattern, creating a vibrant green space that filled the school with freshness and positivity. The highlight of the celebration was the educational outing for Jr. KG and Sr. KG students, who were taken on a farm visit. The children were excited to see vast green fields filled with different types of vegetables growing naturally. They observed how vegetables are cultivated, learned about farming, and developed a better understanding of where their food comes from. This real-life experience helped them connect classroom learning with the natural world in a very engaging way. The event created awareness at an early age and encouraged children to develop eco-friendly habits in their daily lives, such as not wasting water, avoiding littering, and respecting plants. It successfully blended fun, creativity, and learning, creating lasting memories and an important message: “Love your Earth, keep it green!” The celebration was both educational and enjoyable, making a strong impression on young minds.

On 21st August, Vatsalya International School observed World Senior Citizen Day with an inspiring outreach program. The students of Class 11A, guided by the Outreach Activity Committee, took the initiative to spread awareness about the importance of caring for, respecting, and honouring the elderly. They performed a Nukkad Natak at Shri Murlidhar Vidhyamandir, Alarsaa and Torna Mata Mandir School. Through powerful dialogues and thought-provoking performances, the students highlighted the invaluable role senior citizens play in society and the need to treat them with love and dignity. The audience responded warmly, appreciating the students’ efforts and message. The program not only created awareness among the community but also instilled in the young learners a deeper sense of responsibility towards the elderly. It was a meaningful step towards building a more compassionate and respectful society. . It was a meaningful step towards building a more compassionate and respectful society.

Vatsalya International School Introduces Educational Clubs for Students At Vatsalya International School, Borsad, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. To nurture creativity, confidence, and teamwork, our school proudly launched four exciting clubs for boarders on 24th July 2025 – Spartans Language Club, Eco Club, Art Club, and Dance Club. These clubs offer students the opportunity to discover their interests, express their talents, and develop valuable life skills. Students have been divided into groups by lot, with boys forming three groups and girls joining on a weekly rotation. This ensures that every student experiences the joy of being part of a club. Art Club encourages imagination and creativity. Language Club builds communication and confidence. Eco Club promotes love and responsibility towards the environment. Dance Club adds rhythm, energy, and teamwork to learning. When do clubs meet? Thursdays (4:00 pm – 5:00 pm): Language, Art, and Eco Club activities Saturdays (2:00 pm – 3:30 pm): Dance Club (with students divided into 5 class-wise groups) The clubs began with a warm welcome session, pledge-taking, and fun activities. Each club in-charge maintains records through attendance and feedback forms, ensuring that every activity is well-documented. Through these initiatives, we aim to create a vibrant and engaging environment where students grow holistically, discover their strengths, and learn to work as a team. At Vatsalya, education is not just about books – it’s about experiences that shape confident, creative, and responsible individuals.
