Well, educational tours are one of the most integral part of a student’s life. Vatsalya has taken an initiative to educate the children through their actual experiences. The south – east coast tour has taken us through Shri Auribindo Ashram at Pondicherry. The Gandhi Mandapam, French War Memorial and the Light House has added the knowledge of history. The rocky sea beach at this place does not permit to enjoy the waves of mighty water body. The Auroville was nurtured in the Grace of Shri Aurobindo and Shri Maa inviting all of us beyond the boundaries of all religions. The ancient place Mahabalipuram was an example of monolithic rock carvings such as the shore temple, five chariots temple and Arjuna penance. The capital of Tamilnadu – Chennai was full of energy calling the visitor to their maximum travel potential. Here the snake and crocodile park, the historical museum were full of the nature’s beauty and wonder. Children were excited to enjoy the back water cruise. The famous Marina beach was really a fun to enjoy with. Finally, the tour concluded with enchanting memories of South East Coast.

On 20th Nov 2016, we had organized an Inter-House Marathon Race Competition for students and parents. The race started by the waving of the flag by Swami Nirlepswaroopdasji. The event took place in both the categories and the prizes and the points to the houses have been awarded as it was planned for students and parents. All the volunteers had worked together and there was an equal moral support from every school staff which has made the event end successfully. The morning was motivating for everyone associated with it and it was an indication that such events are welcomed by parents, teachers and students for the positive development of an individual and the school. We would like to thank the Management, the Principal, the Vice-Principal and the staff members for giving an excellent support for a successful conduct of the 3rdInter-House Marathon Race.

A visit to an orphanage is a life changing experience as it is filled with emotions and sentiments. Our school organized a trip to an orphanage located at Nadiad. The trip comprised of around 5 teachers headed by our Vice-Principal. Our arrival was met with shrieks of joy and sweet, quiet voices, whispering “Thank You” in an effort to express gratitude in their own language. We were extremely elated to see the talent of the children in different areas and growing up beautifully in systematic, clean and calm atmosphere. Children were engaged in stitching, dancing etc. and even the meal was deliciously prepared by the ex–students of the orphanage. It was a fulfilling experience to visit such a place.

The first term of this academic session 2016-17 saw a flurry of activities that included among others, our much cherished community outreach program- an endeavor to repay a part of our debt to the society, which is the cause of our existence. On 13th August our team of teachers visited an ashram at Nadiad and spent quality time with the residents. The teachers also enjoyed a hearty meal. It was really a heart-warming day and the point that stood out prominently was the unity, harmony, neatness and peaceful environment of the ashram and the warmth with which we were greeted. Our students of Class X not far behind organized street plays and awareness programs at village Kavitha to spread awareness on ‘Crop Insurance Scheme’ launched By our Hon. Prime Minister and ‘Save The Girl Child’. They managed to effectively catch the attention of the school students and local people. Our children emerged more strong and confident from this experience.
