Maths quiz is a brief assessment used in education to measure growth in knowledge , abilities , and skills. It helps to enhance the interest in the students towards the subject and also creates a conductive environment to work in groups outside the classroom.
“ MATHEMATICS is not about numbers , equations , computations and algorithms : it is about UNDERSTANDING” William Paul Thurston.
A little competition can inspire maths students to greater achievement. It challenges students to use their maths skills in new and creative ways. It also provides a challenging and engaging mathematical experience [that] is both competitive and educational.
As a part of extended learning Maths Quiz was conducted in our school on 22/12/2022. Students of all 4 houses from Class 4th to Class 9th participated in the Quiz. The Main objective of the quiz was to encourage children to look beyond their textual knowledge and relieve the tension of their daily work routine. Children had a good team spirit wherein “small to big” all students were busy and giving tough fight to make their team win.
Experience says learning mathematics can be made easier and enjoyable if our curriculum includes mathematical activities and games. Maths Quiz encourages , attracts, alerts and brings in an open-minded attitude among youngsters which helps them to develop clarity in their thinking.

31st October, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, is celebrated as “National Unity Day” in India.
Like every year, this year also Vatsalya decided to celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. Vatsalya planned to organize “Cyclothon – 2021” to commemorate this auspicious day as a tribute to the one who integrated the nation and is now renownedly known as “The Iron man of India”.
This day we planned ato& fro cycle rally from Borsad to Karamsad (Birth place of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel). More than 80 students along with our alumni took part in this rally. Early morning at 5:45 am, Shri Balswarupdasji (Chairman), Principal sir, Rahul sir, Mr. Ishwarbhai (President, Lions Club, Borsad) and Mrs. Aarti Patel (President, Nagar Palika, Borsad) offered a garland to the statue of Vallabhbhai Patel at Borsad. These dignitaries initiated the cycle rally at 6 am at Anand Chowkadi. We reached Karamsad at 7:30 am. There, we offered a garland to the statue of Vallabhbhai Patel along with the Members of Lions Club, Karamsad. Children were very excited and repeating slogans throughout the journey. Then we visited Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth place at Karamsad. There we met with close blood relatives of Vallabhbhai Patel. They shared some of the incidences of freedom struggle with the students. Vatsalya honoured them with mementos for their contribution to our nation. They were quite overwhelmed and thrilled to see the students. Later the students visited his residence which is now turned into a museum. Then students were served with breakfast, after which we all returned back to Borsad.
It was indeed a memorable experience for our students. They grabbed the first-hand experience of taking a glimpse into Vallabhbhai Patel’s personal life and learnt in detail about the various traits he walked to bring the country together. Youngers’ minds could definitely imbibe the values of solidarity and farsightedness which were deep ingrained in his personality.

The vatsalya, primary section firmly believe on the saying, when the going gets tough the tough gets going.
The academic year 2020-21 was inherently destined to be a year of challenges, changes, comprehending and finally coaching.
The system that predominantly worked with students in classroom, books, blackboard chalk and duster had to start a brand new, and we did it very effectively.
The technology turned out to be a great book during this pandemic. Educating the young mind could not come to a halt for my wonderful team of facilitators. They were willing to absorb all that it took to be true to their profession.
Communication begins for those who work at it.
The few moves we made from the word go; our kick start step was adopting the WhatsApp messaging app for communicating messages, sending voice messages to parents who had to now start looking more deeply into the child’s academic work.
Next came in the zoom app to carry out online classes. Of course, objections did flow in from various directions. But we stuck to our ground that imparting education must go on and no sooner the teachers, parents and students settled with the system.
It is said a picture paints a thousand words
Alongside zoom meeting to bring about a better understanding to our teaching every teacher prepared a powerpoint presentation for every lesson. The creative minds in my team did not stop at just ppts they went ahead and made videos wherein the students would be able to recall the lesson taught, reading with correctness.
If it is important to you, you’ll find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.
Yes, activities, competitions and testing is an important part of students’ life, it gives them a desire to move ahead. We went after what we wanted and got it in The Google Classroom & The Delta Step App.
These platforms gave us the opportunity to do all that we desired conduct activities, competition, test their learning etc. the students were able to submit homework, assignments, pictures and videos. We also went ahead and checked the notebooks on this app so the students learnt correctly. We did not leave any stone unturned to organize festive celebrations or bring an awareness of the important days.
To make our classes more interactive and less noisy we often quizzed our kids at the end of the class using google forms.
Parents and teachers need to work together in harmony. We all have the same goal: to help make our kids’ lives better!
The teachers greatly supported the parents in training them to use the various apps. This called for attending calls at any time. And each one did it very patiently and calmly. Nevertheless, our enthusiastic parent did all they could to keep the ball rolling.
This year would surely go down in history for the teaching community as the ones who spread the light silently without being silent.
Together May We Give Our Children The Roots To Grow And The Winds To Fly.

Schools across the globe have already closed in the wake of the corona virus pandemic. The most affected sector in this situation is the education sector.
Going to school is the best public policy tool available to raise skills. While school time can be fun and can raise social skills and social awareness, from an economic point of view the primary point of being in school is that it increases a child’s ability. Even a relatively short time in school does this; even a relatively short period of missed school will have consequences for skill growth. But can we estimate how much the COVID-19 interruption will affect learning? Education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms.
Global home schooling will surely produce some inspirational moments, some angry moments, some fun moments and some frustrated moments, it seems very unlikely that it will on average replace the learning lost from school.
Teachers are suddenly faced with the challenge of how to continue their students’ education. While this might seem a daunting task, there are several ways teachers could utilize the technology and resources already available to support online learning and ensured students still receive a quality education.
Teachers have rounded up some of the best techniques to help ease the transition from the classroom to the web. There are several benefits to online learning and with the right knowledge; teachers and parents can embrace these possibilities. For those who do have access to the right technology, there is evidence that learning online can be more effective in a number of ways.
In nut shell, Covid-19 has brought many changes in various angles of education sector.
