‘127th AMBEDKAR JAYANTI’ Celebrations – 2018

To mark the 127th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar, Vatsalya students put up a short programme on April 14, 2018 during assembly, highlighting the life and works of Dr. B.R. Ambedakar.
Class 8th students of Vatsalya International School, Borsad, spoke and enacted in brief about Dr. B R Ambedkar . In their speech and enactment, they cited about Dr. Ambedkars’ birth, schooling, struggle and his contribution in the framing of our Indian Constitution and also its application which is our future responsibility. The programme ended with the message which was bold and clear that “One need not be born into great and influential families but with goal, hard work and responsibilities one can become great”, taking the example of our very own Dr. B R Ambedkar.

Save Every Drop As it Counts

“Water, Water All Around, Save Every Drop As it Counts” is a well known slogan. Water is the most precious gift of nature. It is an essential component of life and is vital for sustenance.
Without water nothing can live, thus water conservation has become a need of the hour. So, we should all stand together to conserve water to save life. Spreading this message of saving water, students of class IX-C presented an assembly on 12TH April 2018 in the form of ‘mime’ to bring positive change among the students to save every drop of water.

Vatsalya Celebrates Annual Day...

ANNUAL DAY…. the most sought after event for every institution… forms an integral part of school curriculum. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.
Vatsalya International School celebrated its 13th Annual Day under the banner ‘Saptarang Mahotsav’ on 12th January, 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Great shrieks of joy and enchantment resonated in the skies of Vatsalya. The occasion was graced by the presence of Swami Laxminarayandasji, Shree Rajendrasinh Parmar (MLA – Borsad, Vice President - Amul) as the Chief Guest, Shree Amitbhai Chavda (MLA, Anklav) as the Guest of Honour, Shree Parimalbhai Patel (Businessman, Rudel ) as a Special guest, Swami Balswarupdasji ( Chairman ), Swami Nirlepswarupdasji ( Managing Trustee ) along with many other dignitaries. As the entire programme coiled around the theme of GRATITUDE, there could not be a better inception other then praising the Lord through a prayer song. The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, escorted by the other dignitaries and the Principal. This entailed the bouquet presentation and felicitation of the eminent Guests. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Hon’ble Chief Guest gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school. The award for the Best Student of the year for the session 2017 – 2018 was bagged by Parth Patel, Personality of the Year was bagged by the Head Boy, Raj Patel, the Best Outgoing Boy was clinched by Manan Patel, the Best Outgoing Girl was clinched by Janvi Patel, The Best Boarder Award was awarded to Nish Patel and Well Settled Boarder was shared both by Tirth Patel and Ashan Patel. The star trophy was lifted by the Sports Star of the year Drashti Patel. The illuminating stage buzzed out when Neptune House was declared as the Cock House of the year 2017-18
The school’s annual report was presented by the senior officials of the Student’s Council glorifying the school’s overall achievements of the year 2017-18. Tinged with the reminiscences of their alma mater, many of our alumni conveyed their messages over videos from all across the world. It was indeed a highly honourable and creditable moment for the school to be acclaimed on such an occasion by the Ex-students. The entire Vatsalya Fraternity stood tall in pride to receive and honour Dr. Utsav Patel, an ex-student of the first outgoing batch of Vatsalya on this occasion.
The entire function was designed to express and reflect the idea that Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. The Cultural programme based on the theme ‘Gratitude’ commenced with a scintillating ‘Welcome Dance’ praising lord Ganesha. One after another several glorious performances were made by the students of various classes depicting the importance of expressing their gratitude to those who contribute immensely in making one’s life ecstatic. All the performances were a soul stirring depiction of the fact that our lives are augmentation of the creativity, courage, technical prowess, love and affection of the people we are encompassed with. A glittering bonanza of skits, dances and other performances mesmerized and captivated the huge gathering till the end of the programme. All the performances enthralled and made a way through the hearts of the audience.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the teachers-in-charge of the programme. Finally the great event culminated with an Esperance for continual growth and lifted the spirits still higher singing the National Anthem.

TRIP TO RESERVE BANK OF INDIA

12th standard commerce students of Vatsalya International School, Borsad, got the privilege of going on an educational tour to the Regional Branch of Reserve Bank of India at Ahmedabad on 6th of December, 2017. The students had a full-fledged brainstorming session with the RBI executives and staff members, where they got their questions answered regarding the functions and role of RBI. The informative session was followed by their walkthrough and exposure to the clearing house facilities and currency withdrawal department. On the way back, they visited the “All India Blind Association School”, Ahmedabad, for the disabled. There they interacted and greeted the students with gifts and presents and got to know about the world of the specially abled. The trip came to an end with the students returning with knowledge stuffed brains and many cherish able memories.
